Burlington -Bristol Bridge to Close for Deck Work

The Burlington-Bristol Bridge will close  for deck replacement and repairs that requires closing the span for several days beginning  this week and next. 

Officials from the bridge commission say the first closure beginning next week will be to replace 500 feet of the roadway deck.

The closure schedule begins this Thursday at 9 p.m. lasting to the following morning reopening at 5 a.m.

Then beginning again Thursday, June 18 the closure will begin at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m for four days until Monday 5 a.m, June 22. 

The replacement work will start up again on Wednesday, June 24 at 9 p.m ending at 5 a.m, officials said. 

The commission said the work will produce noise but will be reduced as much as possible.
