Submitted

In a continued effort to keep the local business community informed, SCORE Bucks County will offer two
free webinars in July.

The first, “New President, New Policies: What employers need to know to protect their business” will be
held on July 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Led by employment attorney Christina M. Reger, founding partner of the Law Offices of Christina Reger, the webinar will outline changes to labor and employment law and policy under President Joe Biden. In particular, Reger will explore policies focused on employee rights and growth in agencies such as the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.

On July 21, SCORE Bucks certified mentor Nina De Rosa will present “Employees and Small Businesses” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. De Rosa, who worked for more than 40 years in human resources, will shed light on the numerous issues involving having employees.

De Rosa will discuss the following topics:
 The best ways to recruit and attract employees to a small business
 Employee Classifications: Is your employee full-time, part-time, or contract?
 What is the best way to compensate an employee, through a payroll system or 1099.
 What benefits are required and what others can be offered?
