Special Election for the140th District and Control of PA’s House of Representatives

This Tuesday, there is a special election in the 140th District to fill the vacated state representative seat. The seat was vacated when then state Rep. John Galloway was elected to the magisterial district judge position in Falls Township upon the retirement of Judge Jan Vislosky.

The special election will be held this Tuesday, February 13. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.  The 140th District includes Morrisville Borough, Tullytown Borough, Falls Township and some of Middletown Township.  The candidates on the ballot are Democrat Jim Prokopiak and Republican Candace Cabanas and the outcome of this special election will determine which party will take control of the House.
