PennDOT: Lane Closures as Work Continues on I-295 & U.S. 1 in Middletown Twp

PennDOT announced bridge repair and roadway construction will occur next week on I-295 and U.S. 1 in Middletown Township requiring lane closures throughout the week.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, December 9, through Thursday, December 12, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a single lane closure will be in place on eastbound I-295 approaching U.S. 1 for bridge repair.
  • Wednesday, December 11, and Thursday, December 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., a right or left lane closure will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 approaching the I-295 overpass for sign installation.
  • Friday, December 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 approaching the I-295 overpass for barrier installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
