The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced a drainage pipe installation is planned at night next week on Old Lincoln Highway (Business U.S. 1) in Middletown Township under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  • Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning, periodic flagger-controlled lane closures with intermittent 15-minute stoppages are planned in both directions on Old Lincoln Highway  (Business U.S. 1) between Harris Avenue and the U.S. 1 overpass.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
