Take a look inside the newest exhibition at Bucks County Community College — “Seeing Stella: An Installation by Jen Blazina,” which brings the history of the Newtown Campus to life through an incredible collection of glass, bronze, and plaster sculptures.
Philadelphia-based artist Jen Blazina created a stunning portfolio examining the life, taste, and legacy of Stella Elkins Tyler (1884–1963)—the artist and benefactor whose historic estate eventually became the college’s Newtown Campus.
Carol Tyler, widow of Stella Tyler’s grandson George F. Tyler III, and her daughter Amy Shea joined members of the College and the community for the event. w The exhibition is free and open to the public at the Hicks Art Center Gallery through Oct. 17.

BCCC President & CEO Patrick M. Jones, Ph.D., discusses the life, art, and legacy of Stella Elkins Tyler with Carol Tyler. Stella, a patron of the arts, became a prolific sculptor herself in her forties. The exhibition runs through October 17 on the College’s Newtown Campus.
