PennDOT announced that bridge repair will occur at night next week on northbound Interstate 95 in South Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, March 17, through Sunday, March 23, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the ramp from the Walt Whitman Bridge to northbound I-95 for bridge repair.
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, a single lane closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to midnight, followed by a double lane closure from midnight to 5 a.m., the following morning on northbound I-95 just north of the Walt Whitman Bridge Interchange for line striping and barrier installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
