PennDOT announced bridge repair and core borings will occur at night next week on Interstate 95.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 19, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. on southbound I-95 between Ashburner Street and Bleigh Avenue for diamond grinding.
- Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 19, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the ramp from southbound I-95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchanges for bridge repair.
- Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. on northbound I-95 between McKean Street and Christian Street for bridge repair.
- Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. on southbound I-95 between Tasker Street and Snyder Street for bridge repair.
- Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. on northbound I-95 between Bleigh Avenue and Ashburner Street for materials testing.
- Monday, July 15, through Thursday, July 18, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Allegheny Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges, and on the northbound ramp to the bridge for core borings.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
