PennDOT announced travel restrictions on I-95 and I-76. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through all work areas. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.
1. Travel restriction due to pavement repair on I-95 into Delaware County:
- Sunday, June 2, through Saturday, June 8, f rom 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, single and double lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Route 452 (Exit 2) and I-476 (Exit 7) interchanges
2. Travel restrictions due to reconstruction of the southbound side of I-95 in North East Philadelphia near the Bridge Street Interchange:.
- Monday, June 3, through Thursday, June 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Allegheny Avenue interchanges for core borings.
- Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m the following morning, the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to southbound I-95 at the Bridge Street Interchange will close for emergency pavement repairs. Motorists will be detoured south on Aramingo Avenue to the ramp to I-95 south at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.
- Wednesday, June 5, and Friday June 7, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, single lane closures will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Bridge Street interchanges for barrier placement and removal.
- Thursday, June 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, alternating single and double lane closures will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Bridge Street interchanges to set up the new traffic pattern. The southbound off-ramp to James Street (Exit 27) will close permanently at this time. Motorists will be detoured to the northbound Aramingo Avenue off-ramp at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange (Exit 26) then east on Tacony Street to Bridge Street.
- Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., periodic left lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Bridge Street interchanges for spot painting and anti-graffiti coating.
3. Travel restrictions due to bridge inspections on I-95 or I-76 in Philadelphia:
- Tuesday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a partial lane closure is scheduled on the westbound I-76 ramp to City Avenue.
- Wednesday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Enterprise Avenue/Island Avenue Interchange.
