PennDOT announced travel restrictions during the week are in place on I-95 due to scheduled activities including bridge inspections in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., a moving right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and the Academy Road interchanges for bridge inspections.
- Monday, June 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., a moving right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and the Cottman Avenue interchanges for bridge inspections.
- Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight 5 a.m. on northbound I-95 between Bleigh Avenue and Ashburner Street for diamond grinding.
- Monday, June 17, through Wednesday, June 19, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a left lane closures will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Allegheny Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges for core borings.
- Tuesday, June 18, through Thursday, June 20, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Allegheny Avenue interchanges for core borings.
- Wednesday, June 19, and Thursday, June 20, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, alternating lane closures will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Academy Road interchanges for line striping.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
