PennDOT: I95 Restrictions Due to Line Striping, Rumble Strip Installation

PennDOT announced restrictions on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia starting  Thursday due to line striping and rumble strip installation.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Academy Road and Cottman Avenue interchanges for rumble strip installation.
  • Thursday, June 27, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. the following morning on northbound I-95 between Bleigh Avenue and Ashburner Street for line striping.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
