PennDOT announced bridge repairs and other construction activities will continue at night next week on Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, August 5, and Tuesday, August 6, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. on northbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Academy Road interchanges or installation of pavement reflectors.I95
- Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. on southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Cottman Avenue interchanges for installation of pavement reflectors.
- Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, alternating left and right single lane closures will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Bridge Street and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges for pavement repairs.
- Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the ramp to southbound I-95 at the Bridge Street Interchange will be closed for pavement repairs. Motorists will be detoured south on Aramingo Avenue to Adams Avenue for access to southbound I-95.
- From 9 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, to 3 p.m. Friday, August 9, the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to northbound and southbound I-95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange will be closed for intersection improvements. Motorists will be directed to the adjacent intersection of Aramingo Avenue and Adams Avenue for access to and from I-95.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
