PennDOT made an announcement for different activities and closures across I-95 starting Sunday night, when traveling to and from Philadelphia. Also, there is a closure on I-95 in Delaware County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Sunday, June 30, through Tuesday, July 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Allegheny Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges for core borings.
- Sunday, June 30, through Tuesday, July 2, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, periodic lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Route 452 (Exit 2) and I-476 (Exit 7) interchanges line striping.
- Sunday, June 30, to Tuesday, July 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a periodic lane closure is scheduled on I-95 between Girard Avenue and the I-76 interchanges for graffiti removal.
- Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, a single lane closure will be in place at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at midnight to 5 a.m. the following morning on southbound I-95 between Bleigh Avenue and Ashburner Street for diamond grinding.
- Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange for joint repair.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
