Tullytown Borough Officer Completes Motor Carrier Enforcement Training

Tullytown Borough Council is investing time and resource(s) into having a Certified Motor Carrier Officer to address truck traffic passing through the borough.

On August 1st 2025, Cpl. Matt Rink successfully completed his Motor Carrier Enforcement training in Harrisburg. This 3-week training program ran by the Pennsylvania State Police teaches Municipal Police Officers to complete safety inspections on commercial motor vehicles, said officials.

The Borough Council and Police Department recently made the announcement and congratulated Cpl. Rink on his hard work to pass this course. Cpl. Rink will begin his six-month mentorship with other Police Departments in the area to become a fully certified Motor Carrier Inspector. We wish him luck in his new job and thank him for taking on this new responsibility to ensure trucks on our roadways are being operated safely, officials said.
