Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick recently announced $500,000 was secured to support Startup Bucks with the help of the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority and $727,000 to ensure the modernization of public safety equipment and programs for Bucks County Emergency Services.
Small businesses are foundational to our community, and it is essential to support new entrepreneurs who help to bolster our business community and economy, Fitzpatrick said. The Startup Bucks project funding will go towards helping Bucks County entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary resources to thrive.
One of these resources, F30, according to Fitzpatrick, is a forum for startup entrepreneurs where they can gain insight and seek advice from fellow business owners. In addition, mentoring services and oversight resources are included to help with the administration of the Bucks Built Startup Fund.
Fitzpatrick said, “I am proud to have partnered with the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority to secure funding for our small businesses. This $500,000 investment will spur economic growth and expansion for decades to come.”

The funding for Bucks County public safety modernization will allow Emergency Services to replace 5,100 portable radio batteries and chargers for every police department in the county. These replacements are critical, as a significant portion of the existing equipment is approaching the end of its operational life. The funding will also provide for body cameras, which aim to enhance officer-community relations and officer safety. “I am proud to have partnered with Bucks County Emergency Services to support necessary upgrades to public safety equipment and programs. This $727,000 investment will provide our local law enforcement with the resources necessary to effectively do their jobs while addressing a strong public need. This modernization of our emergency services will ensure that we can live in a safer and more secure Bucks County for years to come,” said Fitzpatrick.
