The Falls Township Board sayeth its police department createth.
The police department, Lt. Chris Clark said Friday, will now be conducting its own examination process for hiring police officers.
The idea was broached at this month’s Board of Supervisors meeting which earned the support Police Association of Falls Township (PAFT).
“We are a community minded, proactive police department that is supported by a wonderful community of residents and businesses. We hire good hearted people who are drawn to service, as is evidenced by the competence and character of the candidates that have successfully completed our selection process,” Clark said.
Over the last two years if not longer, the department has authored community reach out efforts to strengthen bonds between the department and its neighbors. Launched an effort late last year to support displaced locals and last but certainly not least used social media instead of Crimewatch to get important information out to the community.
Anyone who lives in or travels through Falls Township would be happy to meet our officers if they find themselves in need of police assistance. Everyone interested in a career in law enforcement will find that this is a great community to work in!, Clark added.
