This morning it was announced Baker Jr was charged and arrested last week for manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related offenses by Bensalem Police. He was arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $7,000,000 bail on July 6.
The Bensalem Special Investigations Unit conducted a series of controlled illegal narcotics purchases before the execution of the search warrants last week, said public safety officials.
The search warrants for Baker’s residence on Sandy Lane as well as an apartment in Hamilton Court Apartments located at 3455 Street Road, Bensalem were executed just before 11 am Thursday, police said and yielded:
A money counter,
Drug paraphernalia,
Edible “gummys”, THC cartridges
15 lbs. of marijuana, over 200 THC vape cartridges,
Over $120,000 in US Currency.
A call to Baker Jr’s Defense attorney well regarded Louis R. Busico, Monday afternoon was not returned.
As for Baker’s trial in the alleged hit and run of John Dugan. Sadly Baker’s arrest now pushes that trial date to August 21st with a hearing scheduled before President Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr. the week before trial according to court records.
The wait for Mr Dugan’s family at last check has been excruciating especially since was Baker Jr. was arrested. Family member Lower Bucks Source had contact with in the past declined to comment this evening
