A woman killed this morning in a wrong way crash on I-95 in Bensalem Township has been identified through social media posts.
Condolences, expressions of grief and loss were posted all over Leanne Popson’s Facebook page throughout the day once news began to circulate about the fatal accident early Wednesday.
According to her Facebook profile, Popson is from Levittown
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened at 1:41 a.m. on the highway’s northbound lanes near Academy Road when a 33-year-old woman from Camden, N.J., was driving southbound in the interstate’s northbound lanes striking a Chrysler 300 State Police said, now said to driven by the Levittown woman.
The I-95 northbound lane was reopened at around 9:45 a.m, state police said.
The investigation about the crash, is ongoing Pennsylvania State Police said and the woman driving the second vehicle was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital to be treated for her injuries and her identify has not been released as of publication nor is any information as to why the woman causing the crash was driving the wrong way.
