The U.S Marshals Fugitive Task Force early Wednesday morning, assisted by Bristol Borough Police, Bucks County Sheriffs, and Mercer County authorities, took one man into custody and served search warrants on Swain Street home in Bristol, authorities said.
On April 15th at approximately 6:15am, investigators from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces in Philadelphia and New Jersey, Bucks County Detectives, Bucks County Sheriff’s, Bristol Borough Police Officers, and Mercer County Prosecutors agents, executed an arrest warrant and search warrant in the 500 block of Swain Street in Bristol Borough, authorities said.
The subject of the warrant was 19-year-old Christian Zahirny who was wanted in Mercer County, New Jersey, for possession and distribution of child pornography. The warrant was issued March 30th.
Zahirny was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bristol Borough Police Department for processing. He was arraigned on a fugitive from justice charge a short time ago authorities said and his bail was set at 10 percent of $150,000.00
“This arrest reflects strong coordination among the U.S. Marshal Service and our law enforcement partners in Bucks and Mercer County. We will continue to use every available resource to apprehend anyone who exploits children,” Supervisory Deputy Robert Clark, said.
Tipsters living in that section of the borough said access to Swain Street was blocked off at both ends describing a “heavy police presence, ” this morning.
