Update: 18 Year-Old that Died After Crash in Bristol Twp Just Celebrated Birthday, Go Fund Me Launched for “Farewell” Services

A Go Fund Me effort has been launched by the family of the young woman who tragically died Sunday evening at St Mary’s Medical Center after the her friend who was driving the vehicle she was sitting in the back seat of lost control striking a tree on Wistar Rd in Bristol Township.

The victim Keira DAmbra was identified as the 18 year-old sitting in the back seat when the crash happened just about 24 hours ago. Her Aunt Jamie and Daniel Spencer posted the fundraising effort to defray the unexpected “farewell” service costs.

” Yesterday, our family experienced a horrible tragedy. My niece Keira tragically lost her life in a car accident. This loss was sudden and unexpected for my sister and brother-in-law. While it’ll take years to put the pieces together again, they have the daunting task of planning for their daughter’s services just days after her 18th birthday,” Jamie DAmbra wrote.

Since its launch, seeking to reach donations totaling $16,000.00 just under 125 donations had been made, totaling slightly more than $10,000  as of of this update.

A local family is in the full throes of grief and shock after a crash Sunday afternoon took the life of a 18-year-old woman and sent  two 17-year-old’s  to St Mary’s Medical Center after slamming into a tree yards away from the entrance of Armstrong Middle School in the Levittown section of Bristol Township.

At approximately 3:43 p.m., Bristol Township Police responded to the report of a crash involving a vehicle striking a tree on the 450 block of Wistar Road, township police said.

The preliminary investigation, police say, shows a white, 2002 Ford Mustang was traveling east on Wistar Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle slamming into a tree.

The  17-year-old male from Levittown, driving the Mustang, and his passenger were transported by EMS  to St. Mary’s Medical Center where they are both listed in “stable condition,” Lieutenant Patrick Kitchemen, said.  The back seat passenger, an 18-year-old female, was also transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries sometime later, the Lt. said.  The identities of the three teens were not released as of publication time Monday morning.

Police said the investigation into the crash is active and ongoing.

At the crash site late Sunday night remnants of the wreck and crash investigator markings remained on Wistar Road, with a herd of deer seemingly tending to the thick in circumference tree and with a layer of bark missing from its trunk where the Mustang apparently struck.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad 154, Penndel- Middletown Rescue Squad 155, Levittown Fire Company Station 13, and Bristol Township Fire Police.
