An early Wednesday morning 3-alarm fire at the Levittown Trace Apartment complex in Bristol Township with one man jumping out of his second story window to escape the flames and three firefighters reportedly injured, is under investigation.
The fire broke out around 5:3o a.m. in the 3000 block of Ford Road, building J and rapidly spread through the building, fire officials said.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said a man jumped from his second-story window to escape the fire was caught by Bristol Township Police Officers which softened his landing.
The fire started in a 2nd floor apartment, extended to 3rd floor and attic, the fire marshal said.
Three firefighters were injured in the blaze; One firefighter broke his arm after a section of the roof collapsed. A second firefighter suffered an ankle injury and a third was treated for smoke inhalation, he said.

Thirty (30) residents were displaced by the fire and 12 apartments were destroyed, authorities said.
Dippolito was still at the apartment complex investigating as late as early afternoon.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, said fire officials.
