A Bensalem man is under arrest for selling methamphetamine and guns in his home at 6251 Craig Ave.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Bensalem’s Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U) was notified by an confidential informant that suspect Charles Bowers was attempting to sell three guns to him.
Bowers is a known felon and can’t legally own a firearm. The witness stated that Bowers had approached him on Facebook Messenger and asked to buy two shot guns and one rifle.
The witness was advised by Bensalem Police to meet Bowers at his home at 6251 Craig Ave.
Along with the guns which came to $500, the witness also bought an eight ball of methamphetamine for $60.
The witness and an undercover cop traveled to Bowers residence and purchased the firearms and drugs.
Bowers was arraigned by on-call District Justice Charles Jonas and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $750,000 bail.
He faces a felony charges for selling a firearm when cannot possess one, firearm carried without a license, and intent to deliver methamphetamine. He is due back in court next month to answer to said charges.
Bensalem authorities said the case remains under investigation in a press release.
