Bensalem Township officials, through a post on their Meta page, are warning residents and local businesses to be cautious of malicious email scams that falsely claim to be from the township.
Fraudulent emails often contain links or attachments to fictitious invoices and urge recipients to take immediate action.
These messages are not legitimate and attempt to deceive recipients into clicking harmful links or providing sensitive information.
The Building & Planning Department communicates via email. However, please be aware that any official correspondence from the Township will come from an email address ending in @bensalempa.gov.
Residents are urged to take the following precautions:
- Do not click on links or open attachments in suspicious emails.
- Verify the sender’s email address carefully.
- Report any fraudulent emails to the Township at (215) 633-3600 to confirm if we indeed sent the email.
- Delete the suspicious email immediately after reporting it.
Township officials are working to alert the community and minimize any potential impact from these scams.
Contact Bensalem Township at (215) 633-3600 or click here for more information or to report a suspicious message.
