The Bensalem Police Department announced open registration for its annual Police Activities League elementary basketball league, on Tuesday.
The league is for students entering the fifth and sixth grade and run from June 21 to August 2 with the top two teams playing for the league championship on August 5.
The program is open to the first 100 Bensalem Township residents to register and is open to boys and girls that will be entering the fifth and sixth grade starting in the fall and is free.
Participants must show a proof of residency upon request.
League games will be played on Monday nights at Bensalem Township Community Park with games beginning at 6:15 p.m.
Registration for the league runs through May 26 or until the maximum capacity has been reached. Registration is available online and can be completed at https://bensalempal.siplay.com. Parents are not permitted to request students be placed on the same team unless they are siblings.
