Bensalem Police Seek Information in Suspicious Death Investigation

The Bensalem Police are asking the public for any information on a dead body discovered outside of a hotel.

According to a press release, officers responded to the parking lot of Benjamin Rush Hotel, located at 2345 Old Lincoln Highway, for the report of a body outside.

Upon arrival, police discovered a deceased white male lying on his back in the parking lot.

Police were able to identify the male as Zachary Dooney, 42, from Newville PA (Cumberland County). He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with “Rob Nolfi Roofing” printed on the front and gray sweatpants.

Bensalem Police are investigating this incident as a suspicious death and are asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation.  If anyone had contact with or observed Dooney prior to his death on Oct. 27, please contact Police at 215-633-3719. This is the second suspicious death police are investigating  in Bensalem over the last week. 

70 year-old Cynthia Bouffard was discovered deceased in her Hunter Court South home last week subsequent to a wellness check. Cause and manner of death have yet to be determined.
