Bensalem’s rescue squad is expanding emergency coverage with a new medical unit located at Union Fire Station.
Located at 2067 State Road, the new medical unit was greeted with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo, Director William McVey, and Rescue Squad Executive Director Thomas Topley.
According to the press release, this new medical unit was made in order to continue to enhance emergency medical services for the residents of Bensalem Township, especially in times of increased call volumes, heavy traffic, and weather emergencies.
The goal is to improve response times and ensure faster, more efficient care for those experiencing medical emergencies in the surrounding neighborhoods.
The unit will operate during daytime and evening hours, and will be staffed by highly trained paramedics equipped with advanced life support capabilities.
