Bensalem Woman Charged for Stabbing Man Holding Daughter



A Bensalem woman was arrested and jailed last week for stabbing a man at a children’s health center.
Janae Wiley, 26, was arrested on Thursday, February 24th, for stabbing a man in the leg, police say.
According to court records, the incident took place at the St.Mary’s Children’s Health Center parking lot on Knights Road.
The victim’s daughter was being held in his arms and within striking distance of the pocket knife when the stabbing occurred, police said in court papers.
Police observed a “fresh puncture wound” on the victim’s leg, according to the criminal complaint.
Details as to what led up led up the knife assault are unclear.
Wiley faces charges of assault with deadly weapon, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child and related offenses.
She is currently in Bucks County Prison with bail set at 10 percent of $25,000.
Wiley is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing March 17 in Bensalem District Court.
