Bensalem Woman Gets Probation for Stabbing Father of Child in Leg

A Bensalem woman who stabbed a man in a hospital parking was sentenced to two years probation and a mental health evaluation earlier this month.
Janae Wiley, 26 was sentenced by Court of Common Pleas Judge Raymond F McHugh on June 16, as part of a guilty plea for endangering the welfare of a child. Wiley also plead guilty to reckless endangerment, simple assault, and two related summary offenses.
The incident took place at the St.Mary’s Children’s Health Center parking lot on Knights Road, on February 24. Police observed a “fresh puncture wound” on the victim’s leg, they wrote in court papers.
Wiley was sent to Bucks County Jail after her arrest, posting bail in late May.
The victim’s daughter was being held in his arms and within striking distance of the pocket knife when the stabbing occurred, police said.
Wiley is the girlfriend of Eric Scott a Bristol Township mam accused of stabbing a child in the leg in late 2021.
Last week, Scott pleaded guilty, as part of a plea deal, to one count of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, one count possession of a weapon and one count of disorderly conduct. His sentence has yet to be determined according to court records.
Multiple public safety and human services sources have, on the condition of anonymity, said both parents and the children involved in the two incidents , are involved with county children and youth services.
