Bensalem’s K9 Officer Asko Makes Full Recovery

Last summer, K9 Asko of the Bensalem Police Department was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his jawbone. Fast forward to now, and K9 Asko is back on the job, officials said.
The tumor was successfully removed by Doctor David Puerto of BluePearl Veterinary Hospital in Langhorne, PA. In October, K9 Asko had daily radiation treatments for 4 weeks to ensure the cancer cells were eradicated. This intense treatment regimen was performed by Doctor Siobhan Haney and the entire staff at BluePearl Veterinary CyberKnife Cancer Center in Malvern, PA.
Along the way, K9 Asko made many new friends and received much love. The care provided was unmatched. If not for this exceptional care, K9 Asko’s life could have been cut short by cancer. K9 Asko has made a full recovery and has returned to work, full duty, the police department said.
The Bensalem Police Department express their deepest gratitude to BluePearl, the extraordinary staff, and excellent veterinary care.
