Bristol Twp Taking Application for Police Department



The Bristol Township Police Department is now taking applications for its new hire list.
Applications must be completed by Friday May 14. Interested candidates must first take the Bucks County police officer consortium test to be administered by the county’s police chief’s association on May 22.
All applicants for the consortium test must be at least 21 years of age, in good physical condition, a US citizen in good standing, and be a high school graduate or possess a GED. All applications must be completed online. Interested individuals can find applications at: www.policeapp.com.
After completing the test, in which a score above 70 percent is needed, applicants will need to also pass a physical agility test.
Additionally, applicants will be given an oral examination that shall involve questioning applicants on how they would handle situations relevant to police work and undergo a physical fitness test, a polygraph test and a background investigation. After an applicant has been extended an offer of employment, the appointment shall be contingent upon the applicant passing a physical and psychological examination. The creation of a Bristol Township New Hire police officer list and the hiring of police officers shall be done in accordance with the Bristol Township Civil Service Rules and Regulations, officials said.
