The loud bangs heard Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. weren’t Obama and his forces coming for your guns; nor was it President Donald J. Trump’s “Maga Army” coming for locally registered Democrats.
It was however, according to Bensalem Police, most likely Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, conducting heavy weapons training, which included live mortar and howitzer fire.
Bensalem authorities were informed of social media reports regarding loud bangs heard last night around 8:30 p.m.
“While no calls were received from residents, officers conducted a brief investigation to identify a possible source,” public safety officials said.
“This activity is a likely source of the noise reported in our area.”
Officers did not locate any related incidents within the township, and there is no cause for concern at this time, authorities said.
