A motorist died Tuesday after speeding into oncoming traffic on Bristol Road after a domestic dispute and crashed into multiple vehicles, according to Bensalem Township police.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at approximately 4:48 p.m., officers from the Bensalem Township Police Department, along with personnel from Bensalem Fire Rescue and Bensalem EMS, responded to the intersection of Bristol Road and Chestnut Avenue for a report of a multi-vehicle crash involving serious injuries, police said.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male driver deceased at the scene after being partially ejected from a Toyota RAV4 that had overturned during the crash, Sgt Glenn Vandergrift said.
The preliminary investigation, Vandergrift said, indicates that the driver of the Toyota RAV4 was involved in a domestic-related incident in Lower Southampton Township prior to the crash.
The driver subsequently fled the area and was traveling eastbound on Bristol Road at a high rate of speed, police said.
Investigators believe the vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic while attempting to pass another vehicle and struck a Hyundai Kona. The Toyota then became airborne, struck a Honda SUV and a Ford pickup truck, and ultimately rolled over. The driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
Following the initial impact, the Hyundai Kona left the roadway and came to rest after striking a fence on Bristol Road.
