A man discovered in the wooded area between Gibson Road and the PA Turnpike in Bensalem Township was deceased Wednesday with no signs of foul play, authorities say.
On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Bensalem Police were called to the 2100 block of Gibson Road for the report of a black male lying in the wooded area between Gibson Road and the PA Turnpike. Upon arrival, police discovered that the male was deceased, police said
The male was identified as Jabari Akil, 78, from Paschall Avenue in Philadelphia, said Sergeant Glenn Vandegrift

“His family contacted the Philadelphia Police Department and reported him missing on January 24, 2025. During the investigation, detectives were advised that he was suffering from cognitive issues and had walked away from his home on previous occasions.”
No signs of foul play were observed, and his family was notified. The Bucks County Coroner’s Office responded and transported him to their facility for further investigation, authorities said.
