A 40 year-old Philadelphia man running about one month late for county supervision hearing was arrested and jailed burglary related offenses after he broke into the home of someone he knows and trashed the residence, police say.
According to Bensalem Police, officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Forest Ave at 9 40 p.m. on June 18 for a unspecified issue.
The homeowners, according to court records, told responding officers Keith Torpey had broken into their home and destroyed property.
Torpey, according to the probable cause, was captured on the homeowners’ surveillance cameras and was identified as a person from a prior relationship.

Officers located Torpey, a short distance from the scene, and took him into custody.
Torpey was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and loitering and prowling at night. He was arraigned by District Justice Timothy Barton who set bail at 10% of $25,000 and remanded him custody Bucks County Correctional Facility.
Torpey, according to online court records, skipped out on a scheduled May 22 probation/parole violation hearing connected to unrelated July 2023 misdemeanor conviction.
He’s due back in court on July 1 for a preliminary hearing for the June 18 incident.
