Falls Township Police responded to a call of an armed 26-year-old man threatening self-harm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. The outcome was a peaceful surrender to crisis negotiators.
Police arrived on the scene at approximately 11:30 a.m. after receiving a call from a family member that the male was threatening self-harm.ย The male was inside his residence and in possession of a handgun. This occurred on the unit block of Nightingale Lane, in the Falls Township section of Levittown and nearby residents were temporarily evacuated from their homes, according to police.
After more than an hour of negotiations, the male peacefully surrendered to officers who are crisis negotiators for the Bucks County South SWAT Team. He was transported to a crisis center for evaluation and treatment, police said.
Bensalem Township Police provided assistance at the scene.ย
No one was injured, and those temporarily evacuated from surrounding homes were returned to their residences by 1:00 p.m., said police,
