Trio Arrested for Assault of Senior Woman in Bensalem

Two Bristol women and one man from Bensalem have been charged for assaulting an elderly Bensalem woman they were responsible for caring for.

Bensalem authorities announced the arrests Friday of Emily Smith, 24, Bristol, Brittany Kladky, 26 Bristol and Jewett Bowman, 26 of Bensalem.

According to police, an investigation was launched of a possible robbery and assault on June 12 of a older woman living in a trailer on the 1400 block of Gibson Road.

Video evidence was provided to police of a 20’s something woman punching the victim in the face while demanding money from her and then reaching into the victims pocket searching for cash. Through the surveillance images police were able to identify the suspect as Kaldky and a warrant was issued for her arrest and Pennsylvania Protective Services were notified of the senior abuse.

Kaldky was also charged with robbery.

When following up the PA Protective Services, said police in a press release, two additional videos of the victim being abused by two other individuals, later identified as Bowman and Smith.

Smith was captured on video punching the victim in the face and kicking her while she lay prone on the ground, according to police. She was charged with one count of simple assault.

Bowman was captured on video pointing a BB Gun at the victim and firing it four times while she lay in bed, said police. He’s been charged with four counts of assault.

All three suspects were arraigned by Justice Jan Vislosky on Thursday night in lieu of 10% of $350,000.00 and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility. The trio is tentatively scheduled to appear for preliminary hearing on June 30 in Bensalem District Court.
