Bristol Borough Police Conduct Truck Enforcement Detail

The Bristol Borough Police are conducting  truck enforcement details with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. 

The enforcement focuses on large commercial trucks traffic traveling through the Borough.

Officers focus is on safety and moving violations.

The Borough has seen an increase in truck traffic due to the ongoing Route 13 Pennsylvania Turnpike construction project.

“These types of vehicles cause a concern for the Borough due to their weight and size.  With narrow roadways, parked vehicles and heavy pedestrian traffic these types of vehicles traversing our roadways give us concern,” Police Chief Steve Henry said Friday.

Henry said citations have been issued with no arrests since the detail began.

Henry said “It is our hope to continue the detail when the resources are available”
