Halloween ended on a sour note Saturday night as the Bristol Boro Police Department warned the community to make sure and check, and or go through, trick or treaters goody bags because someone came away with tampered candy, Chief of Police Joe Moors said.
Officers received a complaint this evening of candy that was given out and apparently tampered with it.
“A screw and pin were found in candy distributed to a child,” Moors said.
Parents should check their children’s candy bags thoroughly, Moors said, if by chance they received candy wrapped similarly, like in the pictures below, that’s been tampered with, contact Sgt. Bill Davis at bdavis@bristolboro.com. immediately

Moors declined to say which block and or street the youngster was trick or treating on, when they received the tampered candy.
It’s an open and active investigation and for now I can’t say much else at this time, the chief said.
