Meanwhile, Eric J. Hass, 26 of Bristol the victims  “son”  was arraigned at 12:30 a.m. for simple assault and a summary harassment offense in an incident that occurred on August 3, according to online court documents.

Specific details from the criminal complaint were unavailable as of publication time. however, sources familiar with an incident on or around the same date cited in the complaint said a behavioral health intervention was attempted unsuccessfully.

Haas was unable to post the 10 % percent of $1oo,000 bail set. He was sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility with a preliminary hearing tentatively scheduled for August 26 at Bristol Borough District Court.

Sources with knowledge of the investigation said the case filed against Haas was being used as a detainer while authorities continue to seek answers about the events leading up to yesterday’s shooting death.

A source familiar with the rhythm of their neighbor (s) said the shooting occurred around the usual time the victim arrives home from work.

“The father comes home at 3. Shot heard at 3:04. 911 call at 3:06” the anonymous source said, of the sequence in the tragic death. yesterday.

A second source intimated there had been interpersonal strife between the father and son recently.

There’s been lots of turmoil in that house the source said. They described the relationship between the two as filled with lots of “tension.”

Neighbors gathered outside the home where the violent act took place, inside the yellow crime tape cordoning off the death scene, with the county coroner’s transport vehicle nearby.

Before Haas was formally charged in the separate case, a neighborhood sources, told Lower Bucks Source, they saw him being interviewed by police officials and subsequently whisked away by investigators to police headquarters.

Crime scene investigators were still on the scene collecting evidence while the son, a witness said, remained at the Bristol Borough Police headquarters.

Henry said investigators were seeking search warrants for the premises  but would not elaborate on what authorities would be searching for.  No information was provided on whether the gun used in the incident was recovered by police.

Borough authorities did not comment Friday morning on whether Haas was a suspect in his father’s death.

This story is fluid and still developing with additional updates expected.
