Bath Street to Close For Utility Construction Beginning Monday, Ending Next Year

Updated: September 10, 7 pm
A main arterial into Bristol Borough will be closed for several months on weekdays for utility construction, Penn DOT announced recently.
Aqua Pennsylvania is planning to close Bath Street between U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) and Old Route 13 in Bristol Borough, beginning Monday, September 12, a spokesperson said.
The closure will be in place Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm through, April 14, 2023, Penn DOT officials said.

Work on Otter St has also closed down sections of that roadway as Aqua PA continues its water main replacement work, Borough officials said.
Signs announcing the Bath St road closure appeared last week with work crews from Aqua, PA creating a fenced base for supplies and tools adjacent to the train overpass at Howell St.

Work in Bristol by Aqua has been ongoing since early spring on a number of projects related to related infrastructure improvements
During the Bath St, closure, motorists will be directed to use Old Route 13, Route 413 (Otter Street), and U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent
Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a Penn DOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
