A new mural has been proposed to come to Bristol Borough celebrating communities and law enforcement working together at this weeks council meeting.
L.O.V.E. is the answer is the theme of the three renderings proposed to council, Monday night that were created by Harry S. Truman High School senior Carolina Gonzalez-Espino.
Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe, said he spoke with Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub recently, and the county’s chief prosecutor suggested that one of the three remaining paintings to choose from be completed within the boundaries of Bristol.
L.O.V.E. is the Answer is a movement that brings together police and the community to work together on projects that will create understanding, build trust and communication. Ambassador for the movement, former Director of The Peace Center Barbra Simmons said.
We have been working for a couple years to engage the community and county staff to the concept of ‘L.O.V.E. Is the Answer,’” said Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia. “The mural is a beautiful concrete example of police departments and communities coming together to find solutions,” said of the effort.
Borough officials said the proposal would go to the murals committee for consideration and approval.
