Newtown Man Charged with Monday Night ‘Stabbing’ in Bristol



An unidentified individual was taken for medical treatment Monday evening the victim of a reported stabbing in Bristol Borough and his alleged assailant charged with aggravated assault and related offenses.
Nicholas Stern, 25 was arraigned by on-call justice Joseph P. Falcone a little after 8 p.m for his alleged attack on a male victim sometime after 5:30 p.m. on Bath Street.
Police have yet to release an official statement on the incident and details are sketchy, however, multiple sources told the publication two individuals were engaged in horse play of some sort involving icicles and it got out of hand. This information has yet to be confirmed, but stated by multiple individuals.
The nature and severity of the victims injuries are unknown as of press time.
Stern was released on unsecured bail of $50,000 and is currently scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Bristol District Court on February 24, according to online court records.. He was also charged with simple assault and possession of a weapon.
Bristol Borough Police were unavailable for comment and this is a developing story.
