Tree Falls Injuring 2 in Bristol Borough

Two Bristol Borough men were injured Tuesday afternoon when a tree fell on them due to high winds.

First Responders from Bristol Borough Fire Companies; America Hose, Hook and Ladder #2 (53), Goodwill Hose Company #3 (52), Bristol Fire Company (51)  Bucks County Rescue Squad,  Newportville Fire Company Station 82, and  the Bristol Borough Police Department worked to free the men trapped under a pile of tree branches on Plum Alley, at approximatley 1;45

“I heard a snap and then looked and I saw two guys buried in tree branches” said a witness to Tuesday afternoon incident. “It was crazy.”

“Fire Department personnel used chain saws to cut and remove the tree branches covering the two men allowing EMS personnel to treat and transport the patients to the hospital. The entire operation took approximately 10 minutes, said Bristol Borough Fire Marshal, Herb Slack.

 Both men were released from Lower Bucks Hospital late Tuesday evening, a source said.
