Vehicle Side-Swipes Three Parked Cars in Bristol, Saturday

A traffic accident involving an older man who allegedly fell asleep closed Bath Street down for about 40 minutes Saturday.
Witnesses say an “older man” in a Ford Focus was heading towards the Bath and Otter Street’s when he side-swiped three parked vehicles just after 3:30 pm.
Borough Police responded to crash with the Bucks County Rescue Squad.
Witnesses said the man veered to the right ripping off the front fender of one vehicle completely, and smashing into the rear quarter panel of a second leaving scrape marks on that vehicle.
Three witnesses told Lower Bucks Source the older man operating the white Ford Focus said he fell asleep while driving.
A third vehicle was also struck but was quickly removed by Lynch Collision Center flatbed tow truck.
Residents of the street said the man operating the white Ford Focus was transported to Lower Bucks Hospital for medical treatment. No information was released by Police about the nature of the injuries he sustained in the accident. Witnesses did say, the driver complained about rib and chest related pain when removed from his vehicle/
No criminal charges were filed as of Sunday morning, with Police still investigating the crash.
For one unlucky vehicle owner, its the third time vehicles he’s owned have been struck by motorists in front of his Bath St home.
It’s ridiculous, he said.
