Bristol Borough first responders on Saturday night were busy responding to calls within minutes of each other in the area of the Wharf, where a boating accident made for some anxious moments for three boaters, according to fire officials.
The original call dispatched all four Bristol Borough fire stations just before 7 p.m. for a marine rescue on the Delaware River.
A 911 caller, Fire Chief Herb Slack said, saw someone swimming in the river and thought they were struggling.
“There was no problem and police recalled fire and EMS,” Slack said.
The second and third calls were related to the same incident, Slack said.
The Bucks County Rescue Squad was dispatched for a person with unknown injuries on one of the docks, the chief said, which turned out to be directly related to a boating accident.

The transom on a boat, with three people on it, failed and allowed water into the boat, Slack said. The boaters managed to get the boat to the dock and tied up before it became partially submerged.
The boat owner, authorities said, was checked by Bucks County Rescue Squad and did not require treatment.
The incident was turned over to Bristol Boro Police and New Jersey State Marine Police for further investigation, Slack said.
