Police Search at Silver Lake Area Locates Dying Detector in Dumpster

Updated 5 am, July 4th
As of Monday morning, despite this publication’s best efforts, there is no new information to report on the law enforcement activities taking place Sunday evening at Silver Lake Nature Center.
The original story is below.
Bucks County Rangers with Police from Lower Makefield and Bristol Township are engaged in what appears to be an evidence search employing K-9 units late Sunday evening.
Photos taken by Joe Nelson, a frequent Lower Bucks Source contributor show Rangers and Police searching the area along Bath Road and within the proximity of the Silver Lake Nature Center.
An attempt to reach SLNC officials was unsuccessful.

At first it was thought a training exercise was taking place, however, this publication was able to quickly confirm the investigative activity is in fact legitimate investigation through an area source with knowledge of the search. The source, however, would not provide details due to the sensitivity of their position.
As of 7:30 pm, attempts to reach chief of the Bucks County Rangers, Steve Mawhinney have been unsuccessful.
Updates as they come in.
