A Bristol man is behind bars Friday charged for allegedly stabbing a woman in the leg Thursday night.
Police were dispatched to the Rodeway Hotel 1100 Green Lane at 8:15 pm last night following a call from a hotel guest who said there was loud yelling going on in the room next to his and he saw a woman exit the room screaming she was stabbed, according to the criminal complaint.
Police made contact with the victim who said she was stabbed in the left leg. EMS responded and took her to a local medical facility for treatment. The wound was open and actively bleeding, officers noted in the probable cause.

Police contacted the male occupant of the room previously identified by the 911 caller and he was identified to be Alfred Camp, 63 of Bristol. Responding officers said in court records, Camp was cleaning his hands of blood with paper towels when they entered his room.
Camp was detained and read his Miranda warnings by officers.
According to Camp’s version of events and court records, he observed a woman who he considered to be a ‘prostitute’ allegedly exposing her chest and soliciting near the hotel. He told police, he approached the victim stating, ‘it looks like you’re looking for something?’ The suspect said the victim followed him to his hotel room where she would shower and gather her belongings, court records show.
Shortly thereafter, police said, a confrontation between the two started and the victim said she was stabbed by Camp while pushed out of the room naked into the hallway.
The victims screams were heard by a number of hotel guests who called 911 to report the incident.
Camp was charged with two counts felony aggravated assault and one count of simple assault. On-call Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr. arraigned him at midnight setting his bail at 10 percent of $45,000.00 which the suspect was unable to post and subsequently sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility with his next court date set for May 8.
