The Bucks County Coroner’s office released the identity of the man struck and killed Saturday by a SEPTA Trenton Line Regional Rail Train in Bristol Township, while Amtrak Police continue their investigation.
The man is identified as 41-year-old Jonathan Hernandez, First Deputy Coroner Scott Croop, said.
Hernandez was struck along the Trenton Line between Bristol and Croydon Stations after 1:30, officials said.
“Right now the cause and manner of death are being listed as “Pending Investigation” until Amtrak Police can finish their investigation,” Croop told Lower Bucks Source.
Service was suspended on the Trenton Line for about two hours as investigators from the Amtrak Police, assisted by Bristol Township Police and the Croydon Fire Company collected evidence and interviewed witnesses.
This is the second incident in 2025 on the train line that Amtrak also uses and owns.
Chris, David, and Thomas Cramp were tragically killed last April, for which the community is still mourning.
