A Croydon man was charged recently with the theft of a trailer by Falls Township Police with perhaps one more arrest soon to come.
Police were dispatched for a report of a trailer theft at B&J Group in Morrisville, on Monday morning, July 17, 2023. The trailer’s owner last saw it on Friday, July 14, 2023, according to court records and social media posts
The owner of the trailer, T.J Princiotta, described the trailer to the dispatched officer, including New Jersey registration and VIN numbers. He listed numerous items contained in the trailer, said police. The trailer was worth $6,000, and the items were valued at $10,000 and $15,000, the criminal complaint says.
During the course of investigation, the police department used Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response(VIPR) License Plate Reader(LPR), video surveillance, Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), PennDOT database, Facebook Town Watch pages and Facebook Marketplace, according to the probable cause.
The suspect was identified as Scott Raymond Ludlow Sr. The trailer was parked in his driveway, investigative images show.
Ludlow Sr.’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, 2023, and he is facing a felony charge of receiving stolen property.
According to Princiotta, one trailer was stolen, and he says the suspect lives in Bristol. “The person who took it is John Visco,” he says.
Princiotta, Burlington Bridge Commission, New Jersey State Police Real Time Crime Center, and Wawa Corporate worked with Falls Police, court records show.
