Motorcyclist in Last Sunday’s Croydon Crash is in Medically Induced Coma, Wife Says

The motorcyclist in the late Sunday night accident in the Croydon section of Bristol Township last weekend remains in a medically induced coma at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, his wife told Lower Bucks Source.

Kyle Flook, 29, suffered a brain injury, a shattered pelvis, broken ribs, broken clavicle, broken toe and finger. and severe road rash,  his wife said.

“They have him heavily sedated because of the (shattered) pelvis.”

Friends and loved ones, in recent days, took exception in response to comment exchanges on a separate story in which a rider was reportedly cut off by a motorist Thursday night on State Road in the area of the Wawa just before the Rt 413 intersect. The comment exchange included Kyle’s wife revealing herself publicly, sharing her thoughts on the overall motorist – motorcycle rider  ongoing “lack of  respect” discussion on the Lower Bucks Source Meta Page.

According to the preliminary investigation conducted by Bristol Township Police, a silver 1998 Honda Civic was traveling south on Bristol Pike attempting to make a left turn onto Dorset Avenue.  Meanwhile, the black 2006 Harley Davidson, Kyle Flook was riding north on Bristol Pike approaching the Dorset Avenue intersection when the Honda struck his Harley in the northbound lane of travel on Bristol Pike setting off a secondary crash in which a blue 2024 blue Ford Ranger struck the Honda in the northbound lane of travel.

Two “witnesses” have told the publication that’s not how the accident happened. One said “You have it all backwards.”  Both were encouraged to contact the lead investigator, Detective Maialetti of the Bristol Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit, at (267) 812-3024 or (215) 785-4040.

A local resident provided comfort even trying to speak with Flook until emergency services arrived on scene while holding his helmet.

Remains of the crash ares still present where Flook’s Harley Davidson and Honda collided.

Flook’s wife who said the two married recently added, he is scheduled for surgery on Monday to have his pelvis rebuilt and his spine fused to his pelvis.

“We really don’t know the extent of his injuries until he wakes up. But I have been by his side the entire time.”

Sgt Jason Mancuso said Sunday the accident is still under investigation.
